How to prepare Jeera Rice ?

Ingredients:

  • rice – 2 cups
  • water – 3 cups
  • cumin seeds- 2 tsp
  • caraway seeds – 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • ghee – 2 tsp
  • asafoetida- a pinch

Procedure:

  • In a sauce pan, place the ghee and heat it at medium high heat. Once, hot add the cumin seeds, caraway seeds and asafoetida let it fry for a minute.
  • Wash the rice and add it to the cumin tempering above and fry for a minute and add the water and salt to it and cook the rice on medium heat.
  • When the rice is cooked mix it well and transfer it in a serving bowl.
  • Serve the rice with raita or chole or rajma to Krishna and enjoy His prasadam.
